Gia Campari
My fascination with opera began at an early age: when my mother ran out of fairy tales, she would tell me the stories of her favourite operas.
I believed that an operatic voice could not be developed, one had to be born with it; consequently, I was in awe of anyone able to produce such amazing sounds.
Add to this the awareness that I sang out of tune, and you will understand why I was drawn to study opera singing, unfortunately rather late in life.
It was a challenge I could not ignore, particularly since my competence as a management consultant is to lead teams to move beyond their boundaries and develop breakthrough solutions to issues their organisations are facing. I’ve always believed that my credibility and success lies in having practised on myself first.
With persistence, I did eventually acquire a technique and soon discovered that if I wanted to perform as a diva I would have to also become my own agent, impresario and producer. I hired the Opera House in Fidenza and gave concerts for my friends, persuading many of them to sing in staged choruses. These proved to be so successful, I was asked to organise a workshop open to anyone willing to take up the challenge.
I have accumulated varied work experiences: I started as a research scientist, moved to industry and later became a management consultant specialising in operational performance breakthroughs and leadership development. I am now a freelance management consultant, facilitator and lecturer in creativity and leadership development as well as organiser of inspiring events!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
