Fidenza has its share of 12th century buildingsAccommodation

You can stay in Fidenza or Salsomaggiore Terme. The hotels we have chosen are three star hotels that have recently been refurbished.

  • Hotel Astoria is located just a five-minute walk from the Opera House. The railway station is also just a few minutes' walk in the opposite direction.


    From the station to Hotel Astoria: exit the station and take the road on your right, that slopes downhill. You will see the Astoria on the corner of the first road on your left.
  • Hotel Kursaal is a small hotel in the central pedestrian area of Salso. It is a 12 to 15 minute walk from the Salso railway station.

  • The Europa is a larger hotel with gardens, about a five-minute walk from the Salso railway station.

 

You should consider when making your choice:

  • Salso is the prettier and livelier town. It has more restaurants and it is the nicer town to explore in the evenings.
  • The Opera House is a five minute walk from the Fidenza railway station.
  • The shuttle train between Fidenza and Salso runs every half-hour from Monday to Saturday, every hour on Sunday. The journey time is seven minutes. See times in the Travel page.
  • If you’re planning to hire a car, then stay in Salso.
